The Army can’t afford to wait. SPEED IS KING! PIT exists to close the gap between innovation and impact, ensuring emerging technologies don’t sit on the shelf but get into Soldiers’ hands faster. By driving acquisition reform and leveraging a 6 PAE + 1 structure—where PIT serves as the “plus one”—we increase Army and Soldier lethality and deliver capability at the speed of relevance.

PIT works closely with the C2 Trail Boss to integrate advanced command-and-control solutions, ensuring interoperability and agility across war-fighting functions. This partnership drives rapid development and deployment of mission-critical capabilities.

Force 401 (JIATF 401)

PIT operates in close collaboration with JIATF 401 to enhance the streamlined development and deployment of multi-domain operational capabilities, while driving joint innovation and interoperability across diverse defense sectors to address evolving mission requirements.

(USMA) at West Point

Partnering with West Point connects PIT to future Army leaders and academic expertise, fostering research, experimentation, and the development of next-generation solutions for complex operational challenges.
